Intro

Spring is just around the corner and we have to get ready and spiff up our wardrobe if we want to be on cue with next summer fashion trends. This post is specifically for women. Men will be covered in a singular issue coming up soon.

Style

After reviewing hundreds of fashion designer catwalks and collections we can say without a doubt that prints (Alain Mouret) pattern mixes (H&M + MOSCHINO) vivacious colours (Barbara Bui) as well as soft pastels (CHANEL), the presence of Spanish influence (Alexandre McQueen and Paule Ka) and of course the summer classic ´ White ´ (Louis Vuitton) just to name a few.

Details

Detail in fashion is what defines Trend with a capital T! A designer collection must rely on chosen details to stand out and be easily distinguishable ! For this summer you will want to look for : designer brand logos printed on clothes, straps, belts, shoes, hats and bags. Emphasis is still on the waist and the shoulder/neck area using either belts/sache or bows to draw the attention to these areas. High heels, wedges, sneakers and ballerinas are all in style as long as they are shimmering, displaying a logo or designed with many straps/belts and cords varying in shape, form and colours.

Accessories

Every summer eyewear instantly becomes the “it” item to wear when it comes to accessories. Almost all designers have a collection made to their brand name. Quality varies based on la maison de couture of course. This summer look for frameless coloured sunglasses or some that gets close to being frameless. Never leave home without a print scarf / shawl, your oversized bag / purse designed with some of the fore mentioned Details in mind.
